Falcons hold off Wolverines to sweep the 2012 Texas State Homeschool Tournament |

| The Northside Falcons swept the 2012 Texas State Homeschool Baseball Tournament by going 3-0 in a revised round-robin format that featured teams from San Antonio, North Houston, Bryan-College Station and Central Texas (Bell County). In their only game on Friday, the Falcons (based in the North Houston / Montgomery County area) run ruled the BVCHEA Mustangs from the Bryan-College Station. In the first game on Saturday, solid defense, timely hitting, and a great start from Junior Chase Adams were enough to hold off a late-inning surge by the 2011 champion Centex Chargers. The Falcons won that game 8-6. In the night-cap, the Falcons again relied on solid pitching from seniors Truett Whitt and Andrew Brockner to hold off the San Antonio Wolverines for a 5-3 victory, a tournament sweep that brings the Silver Star trophy to the host team for the first time in seven years. The Wolverines finished second in the tournament by beating the Chargers on Friday.
